When we lose someone we love deeply, we hold on tightly to what reminds us of them.
We bury our faces in their clothes to breathe in their scent. We hold items that were special to them, with a reverence not felt when they were still with us. We want to feel their presence.
Something to hold on to.
As time passes, the grip of grief slowly eases and we find ourselves wondering what to do with all these precious things. We come to see we can give some away quite easily, reassured they will be of benefit to others. But what of cherished items?
I can help you preserve their deeply personal value, while transforming them into something new. A quilt, a cushion - even a hot water bottle. Something you can hold lovingly, which also serves new purpose.
About Me
I have a keen interest in how our homes support and nurture us - most of all when we’re tending to a broken heart or taking time to regroup. In my past career as an interiors stylist and designer, I always saw the undeniable need for aesthetic appeal but placed the greatest importance on meaningful objects and how my clients actually felt in their homes.
Separately, I am also a counsellor specialising in grief and loss. You can find out more about my work at janemolloy.com.
In the early 2000s I moved from London to the Cotswolds with my family and renovated three 18th century barns. It brings me immense joy to marry my creative skills with a service that truly matters to me.
Every piece I design is unique. I spend time sourcing fabrics which will work beautifully with whatever you send me, taking into account where the item will be placed and also your preferred colours and style.
All the work is hand-sewn in the Cotswolds and I favour fabrics manufactured in the UK, made from 100% natural fibres.
Each ossuary and pottery item is also thrown here in the Cotswolds and the lavender in my small bags is harvested from my local specialist farm, Snowshill.
My shearlings for the shearling backed cushions are from Skyeskynes and tanned on the Isle of Skye.
I take great care of what you send me, only using registered post or door-to-door couriers, if preferred. You are always welcome to bring me the items and discuss designs in person.

A quilt, a cushion, a hot water bottle. Something you can hold lovingly, which also serves new purpose.
Other rememberances that work well are commemorative plates and ossuaries, which can display a candle.
Contact me to discuss your ideas on how you might commemorate your loved one.
Prices vary due to the custom nature of every design. As a guideline, a bracelet starts at £20, a simple quilt for the lap is from £275, cushions and quilted lavender bags are £75, water bottle covers start at £125, shearling backed cushions start at £175 and simpler cushions start at £125.
The pottery plates are from £185 and the ossuaries, all of which have a place to mount a candle in their upturned lids, are from £185.
